Amazing Japanese motorsport photographer

In my early days of photography I use to spend hours upon hours searching the internet for examples of amazing photographers. This person (I have to refer to them as this as I don’t know their name or if they are a guy or a girl) is someone I came across and was quite simply blown away by their work, but I could never pinpoint the true meaning why. But only last week when I was building up my Google reader did I came across their website again that really defines why I love their work. I look back at it and go wow this person just breaks every rule in the photography rule book and just makes its work. They crop of cars, some would say they over compose, push the rule of thirds, fight the sun and use such low shutter speeds. But all this is something I really admire and it inspires me to break the “rules’ that I have created for my own photography.

Just brilliant work.

I’ve added Atsushi Imai and Yutaka Sasaki to the list of admirable motorsport photographers on my site. Like you, I love finding inspirational photographers, those that appear to break the rules and manage to create amazing pieces of art.

Perhaps its time I get round to creating a long dreamt of plan to put together a ‘whos who’ motorsport photography directory, a little like all those design directories that list the ‘best of’ website, but for the true professional motorsport photographers. If anyone knows of such a site already, let me know, or if anyone thinks something like that would be a nice addition to the web…!
